Built by parents,
for parents

Chup started with a simple frustration: why isn't there an app that really brings calm and structure to your family? Not another calendar, not another to-do list, but something that brings everything together.

How it began

Chup came about from real frustration. Chores that stayed undone despite reminders, arrangements that were still forgotten, and children asking for a phone but who are really still too young for one. We tried to keep track with WhatsApp groups, Google Calendar, paper lists and good intentions. But it wasn't right. There was no place truly built for families.

So we went and made it ourselves.

What we wanted to build

One place for the whole family. Not another productivity app you have to customise yourself, but something that just works for a family with children. With a kiosk screen on the tablet in the hallway so children can see for themselves what they need to do. With tasks that are fairly divided and a calendar that everyone keeps up to date. And a way to message safely without your child needing to be on social media yet.

We also wanted to look beyond our own front door. Families don't live in a bubble. Grandparents want to know what's on the wish list. Divorced parents need to plan together. Friends' families make arrangements. Chup connects these families with each other.

How we build

We're building Chup step by step, with real families as our starting point. Privacy is not an afterthought: your family data is yours and is never sold on or used for advertising. Nor is accessibility: Chup is designed so that children with a learning delay or sensory sensitivity can also work with it comfortably.

All updates and new features are automatically included in your subscription. When we build something new, you get it straight away. No extra cost, no hassle.

Honest about money

We thought long and hard about a fair price. We want to make Chup as accessible as possible, but we also need to earn a living. Running an app costs money: the App Store and Play Store charge annual fees, servers and data storage costs keep running, and we use AI to import recipes.

We deliberately chose against a freemium model. We don't want to bombard you with adverts or restrict so many features that you get frustrated. We'd rather charge a fair price for a complete app. And for those who are done with subscriptions: there's a Lifetime option, a one-off payment for lifetime access.

Why "Chup"?

Chup roughly means: it's sorted, done. No fuss, no discussion. Just sorted. Exactly what your family needs.
